That said, isn't it a diamond benefit to get a 4pm checkout if the hotel isn't sold out?

I often ask for a late checkout, particularly in Hawaii, and get it. In Oct we got a 7pm check out . BUT, the RC concierge requested it for us.

On a few occassions when the hotel was sold out we were given an appoitment for a hospitality suite so we could shower & change before leaving for home.

I suspect the Hawaii hotels are a little more lenient because so many flights leave late in the day or at night.
