I was and remain a Toshy fan - for my money they're as fast, sturdy, and light as you can reasonably get. Having said that, I've owned a lot of Dell's and have to agree with the poster who talked about hardware failures. Ye gods and little fishies - I always worry about my friends with Latitudes.
I have a paperback book sized USB drive (120G for $150!!) and back-up my laptop when I get to my destination and before I leave, and then it travels in my roll aboard not my backpack.'
When I owned a Latitude I did it nightly.
