The last time I went through T4 a couple of weeks ago there was a sign by the security queue I was in saying please take your shoes off. I looked over at the other queue and could not see a similar sign and also noticed that it was moving faster. So I moved accross to that one and sure enough no need to remove your shoes. Only BAA could be stupid enough to actually sign post to shoe bombers which security lane to chose to get through security
