If you are flying BF on CO or Business in AF on either a mileage upgrade or paid flight, you will be upgraded to business on AF connecting flights in Europe (for instance from Paris to Istanbul). However, business on AF means only that the middle seat is permently blocked and has a tray table over it and the meals are somewhat improved. Same seats and pitch as coach.
However in the single aisle AF Airbuses, the seat pitch is considerably better in the seats in front of the exit rows. I am guessing that they anticipate occasionally needing all of them for business and have reduced the pitch behind the exit rows to (my guess) 29-30".
