Hi All,
I've just booked a First Class LH flight from Frankfurt arriving into LAX at 1625, connecting to UA286 departing to SEA at 2025 also in F. I have done my research but I have a couple of questions reagrding the transfer, connecting time and onward flight that I can't find out and would be grateful for any help you guys can offer! Thanks!!!
1) According to this
Map, I'll be arriving into the 'TBIT' terminal where presumably I will clear immigration and customs. Will I be able to through-check my bags from FRA-SEA? I know I have to collect at TBIT and take through customs, can I then drop them off again at TBIT, or will I have to take them with me to my domestic terminal?
2) That map also says that United domestic leaves from terminals 6, 7 and 8! How do I know which terminal my flight goes from? Also, how do I get there? Is there a bus service between the terminals? Will I have to go 'landside' and re-clear security again?
3) I have a long long 4 hour layover, I'm hoping that my SEA flight departs from terminal 7, as my understanding is that I'll be eligible to use the IFL as I'm coming off an intl *A First class flight and connecting to another *A flight(UA). Can you guys confirm this? Does the lounge have showers?
4) Finally, the flight is showing as a 737-500, however I can't find any seat recommendations for this type of plane on the UA board.
Seatguru suggests 1C or 1D if it is type 1, but warns against those seats if it is type 2. AAAGHH!!! How do I know which one it will be?! Or is row 2 a safer bet? Any advice appreciated.
5) Finnaly finally (I promise this time!), the flight is scheduled as exactly 2.5 hours. According to
this page on united.com, flights greater than 2.5 hours get a meal. Does that mean this flight gets served nothing?

And if it does serve a meal, can I pre-request vegetarian?
Wow, thats a lot of newbie questions and I feel slightly embarassed having to ask them all!!! Any help you guys can offer will be really appreciated and rewarded with free drinks if you can make it to our upcoming
BA board DO on March 29!!!!
Thanks again,
Lewis
