Even though I have not flown a segment on my ex-MRU RTW, I've already reissued it twice through BA MRU and it has been a very easy experience. The first time was just a re-route on my then AONE5, but as it involved changing the first international flight, it had to be refunded and reissued. This was not a big deal and the refund of the first ticket hit my credit card within a few days. The second reissue was to change it to an AONE6. This did not require a refund/reissue and was very easy.
I will be doing at least one more reissue (to add my final five North American segments and change my current JFK-MIA-EZE into JFK-EZE should AA upgague that flight to a 777 again this year) and I think I'll just do it through BA in MRU. MRU is 9 hours ahead of EST, which means their office is open from midnight to 7:30 AM my time. I find that I can e-mail them my requested changes at night and, by the time I wake up the next day, I have a response from them. I then provide my CC details and I get a ticketing notice by the next morning. It really is easy. They are very customer friendly and they know what they are doing (no doubt thanks to all of us).
AA RTW is great, but BA MRU is doing a fine job and I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
