.... which is good to know. A couple of weeks ago, I wasted a couple of hours at DFW trying to get a re-issue (from paper to electronic) done. Had been told the previous day by the RTW desk "no problem". Eventually, the RTW desk admitted they were wrong the previous day and it couldn't be done .... despite me telling them they (AA) had done it before and I had just flown the last couple of legs of that previous ticket on my way to DFW.

The RTW lady did admit that "we don't really know anything about issuing tickets" so I think it's very much up to the agent you get as to whether or not they can figure out how to do it but clearly it can be done.
