I guess what I meant was they (767 and 777) share common visual elements. The 757 and 767 share common aerodynamics, electronics, etc. (not usually noticeable to someone looking)
Another difference between the 767 and 777 is the "forehead" (front of fuselage above the pilot's winshield. The 777 is also bigger than the 767, but it might be hard to tell for a new spotter.
