I called Delta requesting to use a Platinum upgrade certificate on the nonstop from JFK to PVR on a Saturday in June. The flight seems to be wide open. The Delta rep said that the upgrade seats were already taken (which I find hard to believe...June/July in PVR is very much the off season), and that the class code for the seat bucket was Z. I thought that Z for solely for Business Elite. I'm wondering if he was looking for the wrong class code.

Does anyone know the class code for upgrade availability JFK-PVR? Ever since they began calling the front cabin on some of these flights to Mexico/Caribbean Business instead of First, I've been confused. Thanks in advance.
