Today I received a letter dated February 2007 from Amex notifying me of changes to the Terms and Conditions of my BA Amex PP account. There is a list of changes "effective 2 April 2007" and these include:

Section 6.1 - Current wording
No fee will be payable at any time providing that the required Companion Card is maintained. If the required Companion card is not maintained a £120 fee will become payable in respect of the Premium Plus card during the second and each subsequent 12 months.

Section 6.1 - New wording
No fee will be payable at any time providing that the required Companion Card is maintained. This fee will only be waived for companion cardmembers with six months tenure at the date of application for the British Airways American Express Premium Plus Card. If the required Companion card is not maintained a £120 fee will become payable in respect of the Premium Plus card during the second and each subsequent 12 months.

Section 11 of the new Terms and Conditions is a list of Definitions. "Companion Card" is defined as "Any other non-corporate AMEX Card held by a Cardmember". I can't find any mention in the new Terms and Conditions of the Amex Platinum Charge Card being treated differently from other Companion Cards.
