Returning my Solitudes with Linx Audio

Over Xmas I had a senior moment and left my Bose QC2's on the plane

I got a coupon for the Plane Quite Solitude w/ Linx Audio so I thought I'd try them (from ProTravelGear)

The sound was very, very nice -- superior to the Bose. I could hear much more at a lower volume setting. The NC seemed to be on par with the Bose.

So why am I returning them? Purely for comfort reasons. I found them to be fairly heavy (they take two AAA's rather than one) and maybe because of that the tension on the band was higher, so it really felt like they were "clamped" on my head The QC'2 I have worn on nonstop flights to Europe from LAX without discomfort. The Solitudes I could only wear for a few hours and then had to take a break.

Now I have a large head (has been described less complimentary ways ) so maybe somebody with a smaller head might not find them uncomfortable. It really is a shame because I did think the sound was superior.
