It's key accessed and there is also a sign-in by a manned front desk. It is slow enough, however, that you would have no problem going in and taking a look around.
Also worth noting...The men's locker room is smallish. There is a steam room, no sauna. The spa relaxation room and treatment rooms looked quite nice.
