A few months ago I flew upper deck in 13H (window, just in front of the exit row) from HKG to ORD. In the middle of the flight, after finding that I couldn't get to the aisle without waking the obese guy next to me and getting him to struggle out of his seat, I discovered I could climb around the side, over the storage compartments, to the exit row without much trouble. This made me think that if I can't get into rows 15 or 16 on future flights, see if I can snag 13H.
When I was in my mid teens this was my strategy. I now know better.
And, by the way, I was involuntarily in 7B in December, and it isn't all that bad. 6 is pretty bad.
