That's always annoying at airports. Once in London a cab driver complained that I didn't go to the centre - even though the fare was more than 20 GBP. He said prices needed to be higher to make up for the long queues. Of course, this is nonsense. If the queues are too long, he can simply choose not to pick up passengers at the airport, but drive around in the city centre. These long queues at the airport are simply an indication that taxi prices are too high.
