Got the paper statement today. There is a separate section where each segment is broken down and the miles are broken out.

The flight points for each segment seem to reflect 4-5 miles less travel than United's indicated miles travelled. Not a big deal in the long run, but interesting, since by their calculations my ORD-LAX-OGG itinerary would end up 10 miles off the coast of Maui in the Pacific Ocean.
