Thanks for the replies! When the RSA called to ask if we'd change our flights, she said that there would be no vouchers, upgrades, etc offered at this point--she was simply assigned to determine who could be flexible. Believe me, if there had been ANY hint of any "sweeteners", we would have scrambled to change plans. We are assigned seats--pretty decent ones, too--row 12 ABC---but my main question to you flying gurus is: what happens if indeed we show up at JFK in plenty of time and the flight is still wildly overbooked? We will, of course, volunteer to be bumped---what could we expect in terms of MCV amount for a voluntary bump? How about if we are involuntarily bumped--what then? As you see, I am new to this website, but already I have found it to be a fabulous resource! Thank you so much for any help you can give....
