One thing to keep in mind though...many of the branded hotels are actually owned by separate investors who contract with a particular hotel chain to operate their hotel.

Not sure who actually owns the Sheraton, but if it's not Starwood then you need to thank the actual owners who invested $XX millions to upgrade their property!
