I hope this is an appropriate post in this, the age of electronic familes:

peteropny's dad passed away very recently. It was expected but not quite so soon and is very sad. Peter and his family just finished a cremation memorial and now will travel to Thailand to do have a memorial service there as his father was a Thai native and has extended family there.

Heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you Peter.
