Any tips for booking on the always-broken website?

I use my corporate travel site for work trips but now I need to book about 3 personal trips and I am repeatedly getting the "error" page once I've provided dates and destination, instead of an actual list of flights and prices. This happens about 60% of the time when I'm trying to book on usair.com and usually I just give up, go do something else, and sooner or later when I try again, it works. I usually do the standard IE troubleshooting--- dump cookies, delete temp files, clear active x cache, etc, and I can't seem to find the magical combination of steps that works every time. Or even most of the time! USAir's website support is close to worthless and I don't want to use a third-party site because I want my 500-mile online booking bonus. So any suggestions are welcome.

If you want to see the error, it's here: http://www.usairways.com/awa/error.aspx?processNumber=0 and when I see this, it's after I've filled in my dates and clicked "search for flights."

I am using either XP Pro with IE 6 Sp2 or XP Home with IE 6 Sp2 and the problem definitely follows me from laptop to laptop. Had the same thing happen on a friend's computer repeatedly when we were trying to book a trip a couple weeks back, although I can't remember the build.

What's your magical combination of tweaks or housekeeping that lets you book a trip online?

As a side thought... USAir is probably losing a LOT of business because of this behavior. US is the best way to go from my home base of DCA to the places I want to go in the next couple months in terms of routing (no way am I going to Boston via Chicago, on a Canadair, no less) but if I constantly have the exact same problem, I've got to assume other people are having it too, and a more casual traveller would probably give up and book with someone else. It's a really bad way to run a business. You should never make it this hard for a customer to buy your product.
