I have a similar problem. I booked AA456 LAX-STL and 594 STL-RDU, which had a 1:05 connection. Schedule change resulted in a 35 minute connection. This is the last flight out of STL. I don't have to be back in RDU that day, but don't want to shell out 300USD for a hotel and meals in STL. Will AA pay for a hotel if I misconnect, or should I reschedule it myself? Oh, and is 35 min legal in STL?
