AA canceled my return ... thought I did not make my outbound
Recently AA had a mechanical problem on my connection to the ORD-MIA flight. They had double booked me 'just in case' on ORD-FLL
I was able to make the original ORD-MIA flight, but due to the second booking (ORD-FLL) the computer thought I had not taken the original flight and cancled my return.
I was on a cruise and had a problem checking in my bags [cruise does this while enroute]...after some checking I found out AA canceled my flights.
Phone calls from the cruise are very very expensive. I probably spent $50 on the phone call to AA to fix this.
Question...should I ask for compensation? Seems silly, but it was 100% AA's fault. However, I normally only like to complain for big things and even though $50 is not the end of the world, it is a relatively large amount for a phone call.
