Found the itn on nwa.com and got 'Contact Airline to Book Ticket' when trying to book it..why?

On the NW Airlink flight, you will get the usual EQMS and bonus RDMs. On the CO flight, it will depend on the fare class. The cheaper classes (V,L, T, K) only earn 50% EQMS and no EQS but you will still receive 100% RDMS (with 500 mi minimum). You also will get your GE 100% bonus. I am not sure why nwa.com wouldn't let you book the ticket, you may want to give the GE line a call.
