Mmm... it does give an error.

But try SYD-ADL and you'll see what I mean. Also I can absolutely vouch for the fact that it worked for me in June last year on the QF flights booked on the BA codeshare.

Edited to add: But if you type in "melbourne" and not "mel" it duly shows the 120 TP's for SYD-MEL no problem!
