Frontera and Yoshi's are the two that first came to my mind. I have had good experiences at both when dining solo.
Another vote for Frontera Grill - I don't always like having to eat at the bar as a solo diner, but it's OK at Frontera (order off the full menu, chairs not crowded too close together).
I've also been seated at a small table in the bar at Gibson's on Rush Street - full menu, very good service.
