In oversold situations:

For DL Domestic travel, will DL only ask for volunteers if both cabins (first and coach) are filled?

If coach is filled, and first has spaces left, would they first do the "operational upgrades" and move elites into first, before asking for volunteers in coach?

Just curious.

I am on the SAN-JFK and JFK-SAN flights on 2/16 and 2/19, respectively. They both seem to be filled in coach and I am curious how they are going to handle this, if my wife and I don't get the advanced upgrade (we are both FO).
