Frommer's Review


Despite the competition from the more formal restaurants in some of Anacapri's hotels, this is the most appealing place, thanks to the likable staff, its garden view, and a location adjacent to the Santa Sophia church. The menu items are tried-and-true versions of classics, yet the chefs manage to produce everything in copious amounts and with lots of robust flavors. Look for succulent homemade ravioli stuffed with cheese and tomatoes; a mixed grill of fresh seafood, braised radicchio, and artichokes; and filet of veal or chicken slathered with mozzarella, tomatoes, and fresh herbs. For dessert, you might try the sugary version of Sicilian tiramisu.

Take the time to visit the Blue Grotto. Its worth the effort and small cost to rent a boat to go into the cave.
