I'm a big Uluru non-fan. If you go, reduce the Voyages Corp. ripoffs by staying there no more than one night. Alternatively, pick up the rental car in Alice and go via Kings Canyon (I haven't done this), dropping the car in Uluru, to fill your two nights. If you do it v.v., the rental car companies may hit you up for substantial additional mileage fees, so check that out too.
