Service: For me, this is a major differentiating factor. On CO, I never experience good service. Just OK service or very bad service (rude FAs). Given it is not as bad as AA, but on CO some FAs simply do not give customers in premium cabins the respect they deserve. On CX it is the opposite, they will do their utmost to please (90% of the time, anyway

) .
Food: Pretty equal generally. CO serves more food though, being an American airline that's understandable.
Lounges: Both BA Terraces at JFK and The Wing/Pier are vastly superior to any PC out there. If you are only in the J side though I would not specifically choose to spend a lot of time there. I mean, it is nice, there's a reasonable amount of free food and drink, the view is good, it's a comfortable environment, but definitely not an "attraction" in itself, but rather some place to spend maybe 30 mins before your flight. The best of the Wing IMO is The Haven (restaurant) and The Cabanas (relaxation rooms), both of which are on the F side. But overall these are definitely one of the best J lounges out there. I am just warning you because some people think it is some kind of important tourist attraction, and end up disappointed; it is really just a nice airline lounge, but still an airline lounge.
Seats: the CO BF seat was ok, but had seen better days and throughout the cabin there seemed to be a fair amount of malfunctions. Not a good situation on a full flight with people getting ready to bed down for the night! The IFE system is clearly outdated.
Service: I have to say that EWR-TLV the Purser introduced himself to each passenger shortly after boarding, and overall the service was pretty good. The crew on the return was just plain lousy.
Food: Again, EWR-TLV the food quality and service was pretty darn good. On the return, the main course was a overcooked (burnt) mess. I remember the cheese cart & port was the only saving grace! I would hope that the overall quality of the food and service on CX would exceed CO. That being said I don't expect huge portions, or to be waited on hand and foot.
Lounges: I've been a member of the AC for quite a few years, and while they don't serve free booze like the PC does

, the facilities generally meet my needs. As far as the CX lounge goes; no worries... I'm not the kind of guy who's looking to spend the day there or consider any airport lounge to be an "attraction." However, after all I've read about the Wing, I am looking forward to seeing it in person. Unfortunately I won't get to see anything on the F side on this trip. Unless of course there's a miracle and I get an op-up.
