I'm not doubt about that. Knowing Lufthansa's good financial performance, I ask myself why it can't offer me the same level of seat comfort and IFE as I receive at other airlines. Clearly money is not the issue, I presume.

First of all, we are talking about the best of the best in terms of maintenance, safety and pilot training.Other come close, but I wonder why everybody admires LH Technik, why many airlines send their pilots to LH for training..., so I do not get your point at all
Unfortunately, your second point is also not really valid. LH is a business without the safety net of Chapter 11 and its Government. While I agree that the bank account is nicely filled, the profit margin and dividends are not impressive, both on comparison to the Dax 30 and other world class airlines.
