The literature with the card seems to suggest that the flight points will post immediately so long as you have unmatched purchase points in the past. Can anyone verify? It is a little ambiguous, but I am assuming that the materials mean that if I fly 10,000 miles today that those miles will post to my TY account if I previously have had 10,000 purchase points.

Second question: Let's say I make a large purchase and I want to avoid a hit on my FICO by transferring money to the card before the statement closes (to avoid reporting a large balance increase to CRAs), will paying before the statement is processed and closed for the month, affect whether purchase points register. I assume not, and would hope not, but the possibility did cross my mind.

Thanks.
