Premier pass elite level not that good after some time...

You probably already noticed, but flight points on premier pass elite level are not "free". They will only credit you for flight points after your have accumulated the same number of purchase points. In other words, if you flew 30000 miles, your flight points will not be available until you have spent $30,000 dollars on your card. That's the trick you have to check before deciding on getting this card. Since I fly a lot and don't spend that much, I think I will move next year to non-elite level. About companion ticket program, may be good sometimes, but not always. There are a lot of restrictions, and they don't let you choose the airline. For instance, today I tried to book San Diego-Tampa flight. They offered it to me for $640 for two people on aa (and didn't let me choose another airline). Delta had same similar flights for $620 for two people, so there are not savings!!!
