From another perspective, I've been lucky enough to have gone on two post-financing celebrations held on cruise ships where a crowd of bankers and some lawyers have been invited on board to have dinner with the CEO etc.
As well as the excellent food (and plenty of drink

), a highlight of each visit has been the chance to tour the ship with access to all areas of the ship, e.g. the engines and the bridge.
Whilst on the bridge, nobody seemed particularly eager to speak with the captain (who in both cases was a non-native English speaker) other than to ask him lots of techy questions (similar to teenage boys with a new toy

) about the ship's specifications, speed, fuel capacity etc and the controls around the bridge.
