Lots of traffic problems in downtown KC. There's "rain" falling from the smoke clouds, lots of debris and oil. They haven't said anything about whether the stuff is toxic. The explosion happened about 2:15 pm and the fire is still is getting bigger two hours later, it will probably burn for a while as it consumes the whole plant.

update:
There will be no firefighting efforts at all. They said water would only make the situation worse by washing hazardous chemicals into the surrounding neighborhoods.

Most opimistic estimate says the fire will burn out tomorrow morning. But it could burn for 72 hours.
