Go through security
Get to BA lounge and put your one carry on in the cloakroom (which is manned)
Go back out landside, and go downstairs to arrivals.
Go to the left luggage where you left your other carry on bag 15 mins earlier
Go back through security with your (new) one carry piece.
Shouldnt take long with Fast track security

I should be trying this method on sunday....
This trick is easier with two people travelling and even easier with a third person on the outside.
