Actually, if the captain of a cruise ship was sitting next to me on a plane, I think that would make for a very interesting conversation. He'd be one of the few neighbouring passengers that I'd ever bother to talk to - I'm normally not sociable on aircraft.

But if your analogy was with the captain of the flight I was on, I'd want to know why he wasn't up on the flight deck flying the plane.
