Very interesting, though. Tough to say what the cause is. When the union is involved saying 'We need more of our union brothers up there!', I tend to take it with a grain of salt.

I can assure you with a recent rash of retirements nationwide most ATC facilities are shorthanded right now. New hires are coming in slowly and it takes at least 2 years to get certified.
