Yeah, I'm not exactly a frequent flyer, so it's taking me forever to get NWA miles. I drive on most of my vacations, and sometimes when I do fly, I choose my airline based on the best price of the ticket, not on accumulating miles.
Anyways, thanks for the tip about multiple reservations. I really thought I had to book both tickets as one reservation - to show that we are flying together (as stipulated in one of the rules). But if I book my own ticket first, it should work, right? I'll try that.
