A few weeks ago (also at DFW), after we had boarded and the jetbridge had pulled away, the pilot came on the P.A. and informed us that no ground crews were available for push back.

We sat for a little over 30 minutes until anyone showed up. No word as to whether they were at lunch, asleep, overworked, etc.
