Depends how often you rent, and the effect filing a claim would have on your automobile insurance rates. If you rent once a month you would be paying $250-300 per year, essentially just to avoid dealing with your own insurance company. If you are involved in an accident resulting in property damage (e.g. another car) or injury to another person you will typically still need to file with your own insurance because this product does not include liability coverage.
