I've done my homework on this one (I think). I will be flying ORD-BKK roundtrip codeshare on CX with AA flight numbers, business class, fare basis DXCXRT. Based on everything I've read here, it looks like I should be earning 1.5 Q points per mile, which should translate to an easy AA Platinum challenge.

Ok CX folks, what have I missed or got wrong? The exact routing is ORD-LAX-HKG-BKK; reverse. (I have some concerns about the connection time in HKG on the return. Is one hour really enough?) I understand the LAX CX lounge is a temp. Would I be better spending my time in the AC?

Any input or thoughts from anyone who has flown this route AA/CX would of course be greatly appreciated! This is my first experience with CX in any class.
