For those of you with experience of Qatar Airways, I wonder if you think this is a good itinerary or if I am missing something. Flying MEL-SIN-DOH-LHR/CDG in early May. As a very rare treat, the flights on QR are in C.
The MEL-SIN-MEL legs would be SQ in Y on a separate ticket, so require claiming baggage and rechecking in SIN. The outward transit could be a pain, depending on when QR opens its desks in SIN... stuck in landside departure hall for hours? A different hassle on the return leg as although SQ has early baggage checkin (I believe), my luggage allowance shrinks by 10kg for the final leg

. At least early checkin should permit me to spend rest of the afternoon sightseeing in SIN.

* on TuWeSu EQ CDG-DOH - what aircraft typically deployed on these days?
- unfortunately the 2215 flight CDG-DOH on the A346 requires an 18hr daytime layover in DOH before flights to SIN, so not attractive
