My very petite wife tried changing our son one time on top of a closed toilet seat in a CO lavatory and decided never to repeat that effort again. I've personally executed a number of diaper changes on narrow restaurant countertops adjoining sinks, where they too failed to provide a changing table (perhaps this omission only impacted the men's rooms), but attempting the same in a ridiculously cramped airline lavatory, while juggling baby, dirty diaper, wipees, and clean diper is beyond even my dexterity and talents as a contortionist.
For those parents who are more flexible or skilled, God bless 'em.
