So you want to be on the road? When I saw roadwarrior syndrome, I thought you were talking burn out but it seems to be reverse from your post.

If that's the case, buy a top end laptop and whatever you need in mobile form, and take work with you on a trip somewhere. Disclaimer: I have no idea what is involved with your profession but it sure sounds doable.
