Well, call me a hog....I have 5 kids and the wife and I are hauling all 5 out to SFO next month from PHL. 2 of us are preferred (one PP, one SP). We ended up getting 3 award tickets out of one account, 1 award out of another account, and bought one ticket at the time of award redemption, then the final 2 last night. I called and had all of the PNRs linked, then was able to get us all in row 5 and one other in 6D- so it can be done.
I just hope there arent any preferred members on those flights that have to sit farther back in the bus, because you took up more seats than you should have gotten. Just because you were able to do it, doesnt mean you should have. US Airways should not have allowed it. If you were on a flight by yourself, and got stuck in a middle seat in the back because a family took up 7+ seats up front, wouldnt you be upset??
