Hi, flyingsaucer. The concept of a mileage run is a trip done solely for the purpose of the mileage. In fact, normally one doesn't leave the airport, but flies from A to B and immediately back to A again. Therefore, the fare on a non-mileage carrier isn't really pertinent, because to do that on a non-mileage carrier would be thoroughly daft.
