NW has plenty of DC9s, Airbus', and 757s getting tans in the desert climates. If they need planes they can get them quickly. They own a lot of those planes, so it isn't a big issue forcing them back into service.
My last surf through airfleets.net showed all of the stored 757's have been returned to service. There were only 6 early 320's still parked, and the stored 319's were sold. So, other than DC9's, there isn't really any more metal to bring out.
