I don't think so. Many West Coast destinations on DL require a connection through SLC. And the SMS agents based out of SLC are the best. Must be that Mormon work ethic or something. When I'm connected to an SLC-based agent, I get fast, quality service, and they always seem to know what I'm talking about. Not so the sometimes-confused, sometimes-huffy BOS agents.

Viajero, I live in ATL and often connect through CVG to get to/from IAD. I do this mostly for price reasons, but the extra segments are a nice bennie on the side. I have never heard a peep out of the RPU, and I believe the only DL-riding FTer to ever claim contact with the RPU was B747.

FWIW, of course. YMMV.
