My question is the timeline - can they allow any code-share or ff combos before regulator approval, or do we have to wait two years to see where this will lead us.
Also, since different airlines have differnt mileage award levels, how do you do it - does everyone fly on the carrier with the least mile requirements?
And where does code share leave the eventual consolidation of the industry. Right now, CO and NW are the largest domestic carrier (if see as a unit). I can't imagine eventual consolidation of CAL/NWAC and DAL - too big to get by regulators.
Any thoughts?
