The "did you arrive safe?" line doesn't fly. It's the same line that we often hear from airline employees when they don't want to take responsibility for non-weather-related delays or other problems. As customers, we pay to arrive reasonably close to "on-time". That's why we read schedules. Arriving safe is a given, not a luxury.

Most of us who post here have jobs or run our own businesses. If we showed up for our work 6 hours late and simply told our bosses/clients "What's the big deal? I'm here and I'm alive.", we'd be out looking for new work in a hurry.
