As it stands in terms of inflation rate its not quite as bad as some including myself had expected (that is if you frequent CAT 1 properties)
Avg
Cat ---- Inflation**
1 ---- 9%
2 ---- 24%
3 ---- 10%
4 ---- 13%
5 ---- 33%
6 ---- 25%
7
weighted 16.3%
252 of 861 changed (29%)
**impact on total category caused by properties that moved out of caterory e.g. properties that moved from Cat 1 to Cat 2 had a total impact on Cat 1 of 9%
Just so there's no confusion for others, a Cat 2 to Cat 3 jump reflects way more than a 24% inflation rate in terms of points. It's a whopping annual inflation rate of over 100% for a weekend stay. A Cat 1 to Cat 2 jump is closer to a 25-30% inflation rate. A Cat 3 to Cat 4 jump is closer to a 40% inflation rate. A Cat 4 to Cat 5 jump is anywhere from a 20% inflation rate to 60% inflation rate. A Cat 5 to Cat 6 is 56-67% inflation rate. A Cat 6 to Cat 7 is a 40-50% inflation rate.
